Soap nut or Reetha carefully known as Sapindus mukorossi is a common Ayurvedic medicinal herb native to tropical and tropical regions of Asia, the Americas, and islands of the Pacific. Soap nut tree is a member of the sapindus genus and belongs to the lychee family, Sapindaceae comprising all over 12 species of shrubs and trees. Few of the well liked common names of the plant are Chinese Soapberry, Soap Berry, Chinese Soap berry, Soap nut Tree, Dodan, Dodani, Reettha, Soapnut, Thali, aretha mota, bhakri, chhopra, dodan, gundarasi, hathan, indian soapberry, jharlyang, kalalgera, makalawa, mukuroji, ritha, aritha, Reetha, North Indian soapnut, Washing nuts, Kanma, Thali, Boondi Kottai and Kumkudukaya.

Soap nuts are not really nuts (nor are they related to nuts in any way!). They are really a macadamia-sized berry and that is split open and dried in the sun, producing a dark golden ‘shell’. These shells (known as ‘soap nuts’) carry a very high percentage of saponins, a surfactant and that deleted dirt and oils from clothing when contacted with water. Soap nuts are versatile and can deputy many more  normal detergents, soaps, and cleaners. Despite their name, soap nuts are in fact a fruit and won’t cause nut allergies. 

Sabudana Recipe: Sabudana is eaten more during fasting days. But most public involve it in their diet even on normal days. Sabudana or Sago is an easy to digest food. Soap berry soup

Soup is very helpful for fitness . If you want to gain weight, you can drink sabudana soup. Soak the soap for few hours. Make tomato puree and cut carrots into small pieces.

Then heat oil in a pan and add carrot and tomato puree and soap. behind this add water, salt, black pepper and boil for 15 minutes. Now drink this soup hot.
