Karwa Chauth is just around the corner and it's time for the most awaited part of this jubilee – decorating our hands with mehendi or henna! All women absolutely love this part of Karwa Chauth, but detest to stay in endless lines at the shop, pay the ‘ jubilee price ’ and ruin their skin because of the chemical- invested henna they apply. So, then’s a simple result to all these problems why not make henna at home!
Henna is a sanguine- brown color, attained from the powdered leaves of the Old World shrub, which has been used since periods to bepaint slate hair and for temporary body art similar as mehendi. Henna is a fully natural product and does n’t harm the skin or hair in any way.
It isn't at each precious and is fluently available in the original stores. All you need to do is make a paste of it and put it in a cone, so that you can do henna art( mehendi) on your hands.
Then’s how to make henna at home
Step 1
Take a mug of high quality henna greasepaint. Make sure you buy the green one rather of black as the ultimate is invested with chemicals. Sift this henna through a muslin cloth into a glass coliseum. Do n’t use a plastic coliseum as it'll get stained.
Step 2
Add 2 teaspoon of grained white sugar to the sifted henna. Sugar will help the paste retain its humidity and it'll also stick better to the skin.
Step 3
You can add water to make the henna paste and get the asked thickness but it's stylish to use bomb juice rather. Using commodity acidic like bomb juice, helps henna release the color which enhances the colour of henna after operation.
Step 4
Next, you can add a tablespoon of essential oil painting of your choice( lavender, tea tree,etc.). Adding an essential oil painting enhances the scent and also moisturizes your skin, so that the drying of henna does n’t irritate your skin.
Step 5
Mix everything together, cover it with a plastic serape and set it away for 4- 6 hours. Test henna by putting a drop on your hand and wipe it, if it leaves an orange stain also you're all set to go!
