Treatment and Precaution for Dengue fever in india 2022

Dengue is a viral infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes. The primary vectors that transmit the disease are Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and, to a lesser extent, Ae. albopictus.

About Dengue fever

The Aedes aegypti mosquito that spreads dengue lays its eggs in clean and stagnant water. It takes 7 to 10 days for mosquitoes to hatch from eggs, then 7 to 10 days after the bite of an infected mosquito, the symptoms of dengue appear. National Dengue Day is celebrated on 16th May with the recommendation of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to raise awareness about dengue and expedite preventive measures for disease control in the country before the start of the transmission season.

Dengue fever (DF) is a disease caused by a virus and is transmitted by mosquitoes. The most severe forms of dengue fever are known as dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS). The dengue fever virus is a type of flu virus and is known as serotypes 1, 2, 3 and 4 (dengue 1, 2, 3 and 4).

The dengue mosquito (Aedes) lays its eggs in small containers inside the house in clean water. Its pora floats in an upside-down position, making angles in the water. It can be easily seen with the naked eye. This mosquito is known as the tiger mosquito, has black spots and white spots on the exposed part of the body, and can spread dengue if infected. Where produced. That's where the disease spreads. Due to its low flight capacity, about 100 meters, these mosquitoes are found laying eggs in water reservoirs at home or at work.

Symptoms of Dengue:

  • High fever
  • Pain in the front of the head and back pain.
  • Pain in the back of the eye which is aggravated by eye movements.
  • Muscle and joint pain.
  • Measles-like nausea on the chest and arms - vomiting.
  • Loss of appetite and two tastes, constipation.

Treatment of Dengue:

  • Complete rest during fever.
  • Tab for fever and pain. Paracetamol also tab. Aspirin should not be taken.
  • Giving painkillers or general anesthetics for severe pain.
  • ORS for cold water self-discharge, weakness, profuse sweating or diarrhea or vomiting. Solutions, plenty of fluids, fruit juices, etc.
  • Hospitalization for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) or Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS).

Spread of the disease:

The dengue virus is transmitted to humans by the day-to-day female Aedes aegypti mosquito. Single dengue cases of dengue virus occur throughout the year. The life cycle of the dengue virus continues in both humans and mosquitoes. When a female Aedes aegypti mosquito bites a dengue patient, the infection spreads to the mosquito and in 8 to 10 days the mosquito becomes infected. Such mosquitoes are contagious throughout life.

Female mosquitoes can live at normal temperatures for up to 6 weeks. Aedes mosquitoes live in barshakhs and other dark places in the house. These Aedes aegypti mosquitoes breed in our homes in water containers or in places where rainwater collects.

There is a special appeal to the people that every citizen should join this campaign for dengue control. People should clean mosquito breeding grounds at every place in their house only once a week. Drain the water from the roof at every place in the house, on the inside of the house and on the porch outside the house and in the street where there is a tank full of water or all the places mentioned above where water collects.

To keep all water storage containers airtight. After the water has gone into the tap, clean it thoroughly. Empty and clean the fridge tray every third day. Drain off excess water that accumulates in plant pots after the rains have stopped. Don't fill unnecessary birdhouses. If it fills up, clean the birdhouse from the inside every day. Be careful not to leave tires and other debris in the attic, balcony etc.
