Introduction:-The scope of digital service in agriculture is increasing day by day. In the field of agriculture, following Douglas, farmers started using IT.
Through the use of technology, new farms are increasing their income by adopting the latest technologies which are used by farmers to get information from meteorological department forecasts, rainfall forecasts, possible pests and information, farmer useful publications, latest farming methods, pest control techniques, agriculture department assistance schemes.
And smartphones are being used for things like applying online to get help in agriculture department schemes. Smartphones can easily be in the hands of the user, exchanging messages like photographs, e-mails, texts and multimedia. Digital Camera, Multimedia Player, GPS , Letter of intent (1) and (2) read out for the purpose of purchasing smart mobile phones with facilities like touch screen, web browser, internet connection etc. The proposal was under consideration by the Government.

Beneficiary Eligibility:
The benefit of this scheme will be available to all the farmers holding land in the state. In the case of a joint account, the farmers will be entitled to the benefit only to one of the account holders mentioned in 2-A of their land.
Method of application by the beneficiary. Under this scheme, farmers will have to apply online for assistance on purchase of smartphones on I-khedut portal.
Procedure for verification of applications and determination of eligibility; The application received from the applicant on i-khedut portal is regularly checked by the concerned Extension Officer (Agriculture) / Taluka Implementation Officer to determine the eligibility and disqualification of the application.
If there is a need to change the eligibility status, it can be done within 15 days with the approval of the District Agriculture Officer. The District Agriculture Officer will have to record the reasons for approving such changes. - For more read below letter.
