Pragya approach has been implemented in primary education since June 2010, so everyone is aware of Pragya approach. Pragya is not a method, of course the approach to reach the minds and hearts of children through activities is the highway. Activity education at the primary level is nothing new. 


For years, we have been dedicated to providing activity-oriented education. When it comes to 'knowledge through activity', 'activity' is not only an important part of the teaching process, the activity itself becomes the teaching-learning process. Hoy becomes the basis activity of this whole process.

When we try to understand the Pragya approach, the northeast goal of the film 'Taare Zameen Par' comes to our mind. The potential to nurture the power or creativity within the student lies in the pragya approach and the pragya teacher should acquire this skill. The significance of the Pragya approach becomes clear when we observe Pragya teachers and children doing classroom work during school visits. 


As Gujarat completes a decade of implementation of the Pragya approach, it is tempting to take a closer look at its findings, evaluations and findings. Pragya has also tried to teach the students through the approach while the activity has given them the good fortune to become one with the children. It is a pleasure and a surprise to hear the positive opinions of the teachers working in the training of Pragya teachers or in Pragya teaching. 


The pragya approach has worked to bring about radical changes in classroom education. Pragya will not succeed unless these changes change the teacher's readiness and understanding. In my study of Pragya too, I have come to realize many positive changes. To date, the teacher has used a variety of approaches to classroom learning in the classroom. 


Traditionally, teacher-centered, classroom-centered, textbook-centric, or child-centered approaches have been used. It has always been difficult to provide education on the basis of their abilities - speed, interests - tastes, taking into account the individual differences of the children, with all the children in the class as the center.

For the holistic development of students, educators and teachers are looking for approaches in which all the children in the class can be actively involved in the learning process. Also, all the requirements for continuous progress through diagnosis and treatment are in the Pragya approach.

Pragya is a new approach to teaching, acquiring knowledge through group based activity in which students get enjoyable learning according to their ability and speed through the creation and use of self-made study material. The whole pedagogical process of the pragya approach involves non-stress learning and child psychology.
